Of Mice and Men Review Games: 4 Whole-Novel Games, 4 Forms Each, Answer Keys
Make review day an event. Four review games for Of Mice and Men (Harvest the Board, Climbing Out of the Dust, Whose Trouble Is This? and The Bunkhouse Says), each opening on its own illustrated set piece.
Run one game on its own, or use all four. Every game comes in four forms, so no two review days feel the same.

WHAT'S INSIDE: 67 pages in 80 files
- Harvest the Board: a five-category board game with a closing wager round, with printable wager slips.
- Climbing Out of the Dust: a question ladder, hardest at the top.
- Whose Trouble Is This?: sort situations to characters.
- The Bunkhouse Says: a top-answers round.
- For each game: a host screen to project, a host book and answer key in Forms A, B, C and D, class sheets, and a quick-start page. Harvest the Board, Climbing Out of the Dust and Whose Trouble Is This? also have a team answer pad (a web page), so teams can answer on a device or on paper; The Bunkhouse Says uses paper answers.
- One games class kit, shared by all four games (answer cards, seat tents and team tags), and a codes page.
- Accommodated class sheets: large-print and shorter versions for all four games, and three-choice versions for Harvest the Board and Climbing Out of the Dust. Your student's IEP or 504 team decides what each student is provided.
REVIEW DAY, STAGED LIKE A SHOW
Every game opens on its own illustrated set piece, so review day feels like an event before the first question: a Grange hall tally board, a windmill hay-loft ladder, a bunkhouse mail-slot wall and a feed-store flip-slat price board. Made for this unit: its own set pieces, with no show's name or logo anywhere in them. Nothing to decorate yourself.
Competition built entirely from what your class already read: no new content to cram.
HOW IT RUNS
- When: after Chapter 6, one game per review day.
- Prep: about 10 minutes, once, for all four games. Print the code page and the class kit, then open the host file and project it. Not print and go.
- Honors and Academic classes play the same games.
PRINT AND DIGITAL
Host screens and team answer pads are web files that open offline in Chrome or Edge on Windows, and they also work in Chrome on Chromebooks. Class sheets and the class kit print on paper. Team devices are optional.
